I’m helping to document the installation of the stations for the new Fort Worth Bike Sharing system. It launches on the 22nd and they’re installing two stations per day. The first in my ‘hood went in this morning, as seen above.
I can’t believe we’re actually getting a bike sharing system, but it’s for real. The debut system will feature 28 stations across the central core of the city, and 300 bikes. I’ve already bought an annual membership.

This warning plaque is affixed to the top of the battery compartment on this new old e-bike I’ve got. Its madcap Engrish-ness is glorious.
IMPORTANT INDICATIONS:

2) The speed of the e-bike has been limited Don’t biking on fast way.
3) If the batteries being useless,Don’t put it any place at one’s will please ask seller for buying new one.
4) Don’t make the battery short circuit.
5) Keep braking well and check it usually.
My mom came into possession of this random old e-bike and she gave it to me for Christmas. I have no idea of its source or history. It weighs about 17,000,000 pounds and needs a lot of bolts tightened but the motor works well. It should be fun to play around with.

Big news today in Fort Worth bike friendliness news - the Fort Worth Bike Share system has been officially announced, and will be operational by April next year with 300 bikes and 30 stations. And our first green-colored bike lane segment opened today.
