The poster I designed for our next show is the craziest one yet.

My friends Jennifer (guitar, theremin, vocals), Robby (drums, vocals), and Josh (bass, vocals) are in an incredible local psych rock band called Year of the Bear, and they played last night at The Wherehouse here in Fort Worth. I took some photos, which you can see above.

Oh, and tonight wasn’t only the first time I’d ever played keyboard, but it was also the first time I’ve ever sang a lead vocal. The band prior to us, our friends Lindby, invited me up on stage to take the lead in a cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s “King of Carrot Flowers, Pt. 1,” which was terrifying and exhilarating.

About an hour to showtime. Tonight we rock The Grotto with Lindby and Missing Sibling.

So I took a few photos at Lindby’s show tonight.

Camera: Olympus Pen E-P2 Lens: Panasonic Leica Summilux 25mm f/1.4

Current status: watching & listening to our band’s BFF band, Lindby, rock the house.

Post-gig hanging out on the back patio at Lola’s. We had a GREAT show.

Tomorrow night, Fort Worth. I recommend you attend.
